No one likes me at workplace!!! Not even the boss!!!

While working in an office, some employees are not liked by colleagues. Today I will try to highlight the major reason why this happens.
Are you uncomfortable working in the office because everyone there dislikes you! The most important thing is that you are still not able to figure out the reason behind this. In this situation you should take feedback from your boss and mentor and try to analyse things. See if the fault lies within you. Only then you will be able to improvise yourself. Let me tell you the possible reasons for which your colleagues may dislike you and techniques to avoid them.

You keep on telling your problems: No one likes the person who keeps on telling his problems always. No one has time to listen to your cries. Everyone is fighting with his own tasks and challenges in life. So, keep your personal problems aside and start helping your colleagues and make a positive image. Appreciate everyone’s contribution and try to be a part of thought processes.

Gossips a lot: No one like the person who gossips a lot. No one trusts them and they are considered to be ones who criticizes everyone or gives unwanted free advises. If you are not a manager, let people do their own work and let them learn by themselves. Don’t disturb them without any reason. Give them advice only when they ask for it.

You are too competitive: It good to be competitive, but being extra competitive about your success and qualifications is wrong. You must help people if you know more and let them grow.

You speak either very less or too much: Do you speak too much during a meeting and other people want that only work should be discussed? Or it may also be the case that instead you imparting knowledge to people you like to be quiet. Both the situations are dangerous. Try to understand the feeling of your colleagues and be balanced. Only then you will be able to make a place of your own in the office.

You steal the credit: Professionals are never able to forgive ones who steal their credit. You should share your success with everyone. Boss knows what your actual contribution is. So never be doubtful on your performance.

You don’t know the do’s and don’ts: If you outfit is not proper at workplace or you keep on discussing your home or you don’t know how to compose an email or even don’t joke properly, then people will definitely think about you that you don’t know social antiquates.  You should avoid behaving homely in office. Learn professional behaviour to avoid the feeling that no one likes me.
Your work ethics are weak: This biggest reason for an employee to be disliked by his colleagues is his weak personal ethics.  It may be possible that you are not able to perform as per expectations. If you don’t like your job or work profile, then its better that your start searching other options. If you want to stay in the company, then try to work along with your team mates and be helpful to others.

You are not a good listener: Your colleagues ay get very angry with you, if you don’t listen to them properly and miss a deadline. For improving your listening, you can also participate in a communication workshop.

Why the boss dislikes you:
Too busy in social networking: If you regularly use phone, Facebook or whatsapp in office, then your image may get spoiled in the eyes of your boss. Boss always considers these habits to be wastage of time and resources. Be connected with your team during work and do social networking only after office hours.

Always give excuses of illness: If you tell your boss just before a deadline or a critical project, then the boss really gets very upset. If your medical issues are more than your team then it can be dangerous for you. Don’t make excuses for illness during critical projects and try to complete them.

Tell too many problems: If you keep on complaining the boss about your colleagues, then it will be very tormenting for him. Try to learn how to solve problems.

You communicate very frequently with the boss: Bosses usually don’t like employees who come to them for every small issue and keep on discussing them. It wastes his time and puts a bad impression on him.

You are not trustworthy: If your data is wrong, homework is not complete or you miss deadlines. Then the boss will doubt your output. He will not assign you important tasks. Try to improve your work standard.
