How to get admission in IIM A,B,C - IIM Admission Criteria!
The CAT examination is going to be help on one day i.e. 29th November. Now the question is What is the IIM selection process in detail. This time more weightage will be given to academics in IIMs. The sectional cut-off is reduced to 80 percentile instead of 85. To get admission in IIM, some changes has been made in Common Admission Test (CAT) as well as in the procedure of interview call. The top choice of management students IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta (Kolkata) has decided to give more preference to academics this year. Although Bengaluru has not disclosed the procedure yet but it is expected that it will also follow the same as Ahmedabad and Kolkata. However, Ahmedabad and Kolkata has reduced sectional cut-off this year. This time sectional cut-off for three sections will be 80 percentile.
Procedure for interview call –
1.       IIM Ahmedabad
a.       There will be seven (7) disciplines on the basis of graduation in place of 5.
b.      A separate discipline is formed by taking out medicine from bio CA, CS from commerce.
c.       The number of students who will top in these will be 100 this time. Earlier 50 students used to be selected on this basis.
d.      Overall 90 percentile is compulsory.
e.      30 per cent weightage of application rating score will be taken. Earlier minimum cut-off use to be taken.
2.       IIM Kolkata
a.       Earlier 77 per cent CAT score use to be taken. This time 67 per cent will be taken.
b.      Weightage of 10th and 12th marks is increased. Earlier 10-10 marks were base, now it will be 15-15.

3.       IIM Bengaluru – Bengaluru has always given weightage to academics. And now when other IIMs are following the same trend, how can IIM Bengaluru stay behind.
