Although it’s a well-known brand and a lot of people buy it as it is cheaper and looks good, but it has some questionable ingredients which make it risky for dogs.
The top 5 ingredients include Whole grain corn, Animal fat, Meat and bone meal, Soybean meal and Corn gluten meal. These ingredients can be hard for dog to digest and are non-nutritious. They contain controversial fillers which are of no use and may harm the health of the pet in long run. Purina Dog Chow has been recalled a couple of time also.

All these dog food brands are renowned and bestsellers, but are worst for your pet’s health. There are many other dog foods available in the market which are healthy and makes your pet happy. The overall combination of protein in the food is highly important and should be considered while selecting a dog food brand. The good one may be a bit expensive but they will give full nourishment to your beloved dog. You should not compromised on health to money. You can ask your pet or visit a specialty pet store to find out what is best for your dog according to its breed and type.
