Homework is a frightening word, is it!!

Hey my dear friends. Once again I am here. This time for the little ones.

Mamma, I have got a lot of home work today!! Every mum and kid comes across these words daily. But have you ever thought that how frightening the word ‘homework’ is for kids!!! It is rightly said that homework is all pain and no gain. After all childhood is not just about emptying the mind in books. Childhood is a lot more. Homework usually eats up all the time and energy of the student leaving no space for other enjoyments which are vital for the overall development of a child. Don’t you think so!!

Homework is given to the students so that they can improve their grades. But as per my opinion it is the major cause of depleting grades. More homework means more stress. Stress can cause many things including: lack of sleep, fatigue, unhealthy eating habits, depression, and many more other factors. Hope you all are convinced!!!

But how could I leave the other side of the coin. I consider it to be my moral responsibility to look at both pros and cons of homework. Although childhood is about enjoying but it is gonna end one day. And a lot of times I have personally felt that homework give me the confidence that yes I am fully prepared now. It helps me understand where my strengths are and where I need to give more attention. It teaches time management and help students determine how to set priorities.

As anything else, homework has also got advantages and disadvantages. But the best situation is where there is a balance between homework and other extra-curricular activities. This need to be understood by both the teachers and students to handle it wisely.

Corruption and Inflation – Mother of all hacks!!

Hello friends! Today I am going to discuss a very current and mind wobbling topic. From our day to day lives, every one of us should stop and think about it. It is our moral responsibility to pay attention towards corruption.

We, the common man, are getting more and more uneasy day by day. The reason behind it is very much obvious! Its inflation! But what do you think from where this inflation comes from? Yes, its corruption and black money. Corruption is the only culprit behind the entire price hike. The political leaders and so called ‘Babus’ have brought the economy to this stage just reap their personal benefits. A person cannot get a simple task done without bribing a civil servant. It has all become a part and parcel of the system. Corruption and inflation both correlated. Its corruption which leads to rise in inflation. Due to rise in prices of even necessities, common man is bound to cut short their expenses and live a miserable life and on the other hand lacs of crores of black money is deposited in Swizz Banks.

It’s high time now. With collective efforts, we all have to fight corruption. We can’t leave our economy at the mercy of corruption. Our dream of making India a golden bird again can come true if we all take pledge to not to give or take bribe in any case. An ideal system needs to be designed to make a corruption free system. So friends, come and join hands to bring the golden days back again.

Roofing Installation!!

Everything ages with time. Even our roof! Roof is exposed to all the external elements including rain, sun’s heat and its ultraviolet rays and well as extreme cold and snow. These entire factors, along with time, wear the roof. This majorly leads to leaking of the roof resulting in peeling paint and plaster. Now that the roof is leaking and is all worn out, one really needs to install a new one as roof is one of the most important parts of the home which not only enhances the look of the house but also protects everything inside.
Earlier roofs were made out of shingles, but now steel roofs have replaced them completely. The reason for their increased popularity is that they are easy and simple to install. Even one can install the steel roofing over the existing shingles. It is highly durable and with the latest paint technology that does not fade for years, its life has increased more than ever.
Roofing installation has become an easy process yet due care must be taken to ensure successful installation. First of all one must take correct measurements of the roof to determine the number of panels required. The measurement must be taken from ridge to the eave. After ordering the panels of desired lengths as per the measurements we will now cover the shingles. While working with roofing installation, one must always wear rubber coated gloves. It not only provides protection from cuts due to sharp edges but also gives a better grip on the steel metal panels.
Although we have left the old shingles on the roof, but still to avoid condensation, one must put down felt paper. This will act as a vapour barrier and will also secure insulation. Some people also prefer to put wood strips under the panel for better security of the metal panels. If you absolutely require it, always use insulated wood. Now after that, install drip edge. Screw the drip edge along every eve to provide robust installation. Also cover the gutter sides with it, if there are gutters. Make sure that there in=s no space for pests and other animals to hide under the roof panels by applying closure strips.

Before installing your first panel, ensure that everything else is screwed down in a proper manner. The panels must be fastened in such a manner to the roof that they look attractive which someone views it from the ground. Usually 1 and a half inch screws are used for installing panels but the size may vary as per the requirements. Screws are usually spaced 2 to 2 and half feet so that ribs are skipped. The panels must be installed along the edges of the roof carefully. After covering the whole roof by applying evenly spaced panels, in order to give the roofs edged a smooth appearance, install gable trim. It will also give the roof protection from rain, blowing wind, and snow. Then apply ridge cap at the ends.  If needed one can also address the vent pipe and install pipe flashing. If the roof is installed properly it becomes highly durable and even lasts lifetime.

Which Qualities or Characteristics of Childhood should We Strive to Preserve throughout Our Lives?

Looking at the young, bubbly children we often want to return to our childhood days. Those were really the best days of our lives. We live a life filled with fun and enjoyment. But that is the only time when a child learns the basic things about life.
As a child we possess some qualities which we lose with time. Like when we are young we are very curious about things. Children often open up their toys to see what is inside. They keep on asking questions about every small thing. Curiosity is one quality that we should never lose.
Children are too innocent to know what discrimination is. They play with kids of all race, cast, creed and colour. But when we grow up, we become partial. This is the thing we should learn from children to treat every human as equal. Broad mindedness is what can make it happen.
I still remember when I was a kid, me and my best friend use to often fight, and within an hour start playing together again. This forgiveness and ability to forget easily is hard to find in adults. If we don’t keep grudges for long the world will become a beautiful place to live.

Children are said to be God’s creations. They always speak truth. This may not be practical at all time when we grow old, but we should try to be truthful as much as possible. These qualities will not only make us a better person, but also improve our social relationships.
